About Urban Art
Urban Art - is the creative voice of artist Justin Chase. Born and raised in the area around West Baltimore, Justin’s art combines images from his real life experiences, his own perspective of the neglected urban environment where he grew up, and his “crazy” imagination. The result is a complex series of drawings that have a “comic book” or “graffiti-like” appearance.
“Urban Art”
This was one of Justin’s first pieces. “Urban Art” is the drawing that inspired the name for Justin’s style of art. This piece symbolizes a graffiti wall surrounding Justin’s community and blocking out the rest of the world, making them feel trapped. There are many images within this drawing, some almost too small to see. They each have a special meaning to Justin. Every image represents something from his personal experience or is something from his imagination that spontaneously entered his mind while he was drawing.
All of Justin’s artwork is for sale and the originals can be viewed by appointment. To set an appointment to view one or several pieces of Justin’s work, leave a comment on this page. Signed prints of each piece are also available for $5 – $10.

Justin,
You did an awesome job presenting your work to the group this evening. I received nothing but positive feedback. It was a truly incredible experience to be a part of the first public presentation of Urban Art in front of a large group. Anyone who had a chance to attend but wasn’t there missed out on a great event. Good job, keep up the momentum!
